Honey

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Crystallized

    Step 1

Heating honey will restore it to its uncrystallized state, just the way it came out of the bee. A simple way to heat it is to stand your honeypot in a pan of hot water. A faster way is to warm the honey in a microwave oven for 60 to 90 seconds per cup of honey on the high setting.

  2. Need some, have none

    Step 2

In most recipes, you can substitute 1 1/4 cups sugar and 1/4 cup of any liquid for 1 cup honey. One cup of light corn syrup can also be substituted in most baked goods.

  3. Stuck to container

    Step 3

Next time, butter the container lightly before pouring the honey in; it won’t stick at all.
