Ingredients

1 large head cauliflower (about 2 pounds), trimmed and cut into florets
1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest, plus 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon red-pepper flakes
Coarse salt and ground pepper

Preparation

  1. Step 1

    Place a steamer basket in a medium saucepan with 2 inches simmering water. Add cauliflower; cover and steam until easily pierced with the tip of a paring knife, about 8 minutes.

    Step 2

    Transfer to a bowl and toss with lemon zest and juice and red-pepper flakes. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm or at room temperature.
