Chiles and pineapple? Believe it or not, this sweet/spicy mix is insanely refreshing in drink form.

Recipe information

  • Yield

    Makes 8 Servings

Ingredients

1 very ripe pineapple, cut into 1-inch pieces (about 8 cups)
4 habanero or cayenne chiles, seeds removed
1½ ounces fresh lime juice
½ cup plus 2 tablespoons simple syrup
Club soda and lime wheels (for serving)

Preparation

  1. Step 1

Muddle pineapple, chiles, lime juice, and simple syrup in a large pitcher until pineapple is in small pieces. Add 2 cups ice and stir vigorously until very cold, about 30 seconds. Pour limeade through a fine-mesh sieve into ice-filled glasses. Top off each drink with club soda and garnish with lime wheels.

    Step 2

Do Ahead: Limeade (without club soda) can be made 2 days ahead. Cover and chill.
