Black Cherry Punch

Ingredients

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice, strained
1/2 cup fresh orange juice, strained
1/4 cup fresh lime juice, strained
1/4 cup superfine granulated sugar
1 pound fresh black cherries, pitted (or a 17-ounce can pitted black cherries, drained)
2 cups light rum
1/2 cup dark rum
1/2 cup Cherry Heering
1/2 cup crème de cassis
4 cups chilled seltzer or club soda
Garnish: thin lime slices

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, combine lemon juice, orange juice and lime juice. Stir in sugar and continuestirring until dissolved. Stir in cherries, light rum, dark rum, Cherry Heering and crème de cassis. Chill for 1 hour. Transfer to a punch bowl and stir in the seltzer. Add a block of ice or ice cubes. Garnish the punch with lime slices.
