Unless youāre actually an android (and not just dressed as one), itās almost impossible to resist a second bite of something sugary and sweet. So if you canāt beat temptation, try to manipulate it. These delicious, healthy snacks are quick and easy solutions for a weekend gathering, and best of all, you donāt have to feel bad about grabbing another bite.
Decorative squash < edible squash. Get your squash, and blitz it in a food processor or blender with oil, tahini, garlic, and lemon juice as you would with hummus. Scoop it up with carrots or celery or pita chips for a quick appetizer thatās completely appropriate for a Halloween party.
When it comes to dippable snacks, pretzels are a healthier option, especially if theyāre made with whole wheat. Top them with sesame and poppy seeds for a savory fall snack, or dip them into that smoky squash dip.

While an over-the-top cheesy and salty mix wouldnāt be out of place, thereās plenty of ways to replicate the flavor without all of the calories. Toss seeds (think pumpkināsave those carving leftovers) and nuts in vegetable oil before baking. Adding some spice makes these a warming snack on cooler nights like Halloween. You could also easily pull this off with some curry chickpeas.
